Pam qualified as a registered nurse in London, she moved to Harpenden in 1979 to start a family and has has played an active role in community care ever since.
Her interest in acupuncture developed whilst working alongside GP acupuncturists as a community nurse at the Midway Surgery in St Albans. Here, Pamela runs a busy acupuncture clinic on a weekly basis for NHS patients.
In 2009, Pamela became an accredited member of the British Medical Acupuncture Society (BMAS) holding its Diploma in Western Medical Acupuncture.
Pamela has co-authored academic research that furthers the acceptability of acupuncture in the NHS.
This was later published in the BMJ ‘Acupuncture in Medicine’ (White et al 2012)
